Tata Indicom USB Data Card on Fedora 11

Today I got Tata Indicom's USB Data Card from my friend for accessing internet.
But the software installation disk provided along with the Data card had software only for windows.

I was simply astonished by 2 facts

1. The Software manual had instructions was using it on linux. I never felt that Linux is being adopted by people in India for desktop so extensively. This proved that point.

2. The ability of Fedora 11 to detect the USB Data card and providing the ready to use facility.

I just plugged the card, Fedora detected it as Mobile Broadband network. I just had to provide the username and password and thats it. It was connected.

What a cool Operating System :)
